Ep. 34 | Music for Tripping #6

This guided audio supports your descent post-trip—helping you unwind, reflect, and reconnect with your body after psychedelic peaks.

Music for Tripping #6 was composed on a modular synthesizer. This audio could also be titled 'Music To Come Down To' and was composed by Tim Held, host of Podular Modcast. In 2019, the Podular Modcast host was inspired to compose this piece after tripping with friends. As the title suggests, the piece was made to listen to as your psychedelic trip winds down. Music To Come Down To is your soft landing to IRL.

[00:01] April Pride:
Hey, this is April, and this show, Set Set Show, discusses cannabis, psychedelics, and altered states of consciousness generally. It's intended for audiences 21 and over. Also, I am not a medical expert. If you are looking to engage with psychedelic substances, please consult your physician before doing so. Happy 2022, and welcome back to The High Guide. I'm your host, April Pride. We hope your transition into the new year was filled with happiness, healing, and highs, of course. For the past two months, we've explored using audio to guide the most intense moments of your psychedelic experiences. This week, we're switching it up a bit and sharing an audio that was designed specifically to help you after you peak, as you come down, back into your body. While the come down typically lasts a couple of hours, the after effects, both positive or negative, can be felt for weeks in order to prepare for integration this journey is about unwinding and creating space to reconnect with yourself before you come back into your body and mind post trip Composed by Tim Held, whose name you'll recognize as the audio creator of Journey No. 2 and Journey No. 4, this week's guided audio is titled Music to Come Down to and is your soft landing after a hard trip or during hard times. And that brings us to the intention of this week's journey. How do we learn to accept our feelings when times are tough? Is there really benefit to simply sitting with how we feel rather than distracting ourselves with anything for a smile in the short term? Music to come down to reminds us, that we must descend from every high, but we do so with new perspective, including the confidence that we know how to lift ourselves and settle ourselves, no matter how unsettling the rise or the descent. With this intention in mind, or an aligned intention of your own, it's time to take note of your set and setting for this journey, but also in your life. Are there any uncomfortable feelings or energy you're struggling with? Do you feel supported? Make sure to find or create an environment that feels safe. Once you do so, settle into a comfortable position, solo or with someone you really like. For the calm down, you can lay in bed or on a yoga mat. Grab your favorite headphones. A blanket. Glass of water. Maybe light some incense. We encourage you to create your ideal setting. You can even journal or record some thoughts to help your intentions begin to assimilate. Once you're there, take a deep breath in. Hold it at the top. And with your exhale, let your fears and doubts melt into the surface beneath you. See you on the other side.
