Ep. 30 | Music for Tripping #4

Explore how psychedelics and sound journeys help release trauma stored in the body from the pandemic and beyond.

Music for Tripping #4 is the soundtrack to move us through the end of the pandemic, allowing us to embody a new reality led by positive emotions instead of negative ones. Composed by audio creator Tim Held, this is a psychedelic journey intended to help you process trauma even when not under the influence of psilocybin and other plant medicine.

[00:01] April Pride:
Hey, this is April, and this show, Set Set Show, discusses cannabis, psychedelics, and altered states of consciousness generally. It's intended for audiences 21 and over. Also, I am not a medical expert. If you are looking to engage with psychedelic substances, please consult your physician before doing so. Welcome to Psyched Audio, presented by The High Guide, in partnership with Patchworks. I'm your host, April Pride, and today we embark on psychedelic audio journey number four. We invite you to explore the inner workings of your mind and body with the support of our trusted High Guides. In this episode, we're led by audio creator Tim Held. Before we begin, let’s take a moment to check in with this week’s theme: facing the fucked years. The trauma of the last two years has been overwhelming to say the least and the goal of this journey is to soothe the collective trauma that we all have of living through the pandemic and try to recognize where it lives within us. Are these wounds from the pandemic or are they deeper than that? Maybe they're all along. Trauma resides in our bodies. So this week, we encourage you to really feel into your physical body and find ways to allow past trauma to move through you. Psychedelics can help you to embody a new reality, one in which peace leads and fear takes a backseat. With this intention in mind or an intention of your own, it's time to take note of your set and setting. Are there any comfortable feelings or energy you're struggling with? Do you feel supported? Make sure to find or create an environment that feels safe. Once you do, settle into a comfortable position alone or with someone you like. Grab your favorite headphones, a blanket, a glass of water. Maybe light some candles or incense. We encourage you to create your ideal setting. Perhaps consider an audio memo for when your journey's over to help you get some of your thoughts out and allow your intentions to begin to assimilate. Once you're there, take a deep breath in, hold it at the top, And with your exhale, let your fears and doubts melt into the surface beneath you. See you on the other side.
